Well, 787 doesn’t offer any insight into whether it is a v1 or v2…
Yes, it is useful for now to use the “787 vs 787-9 on the booking engine” method to locate a flight operating a refurbished aircraft (only 1 airframe).
But that misses my broader suggestion - simply to suggest a methodology to consistently refer to each of the three variants. But each to their own 😀
