The Maldives' Malé-Velana Airport is set to have a partial opening of their new terminal on July 26th. Emirates is not noted to be on the list of initial airlines to be using this new terminal, but the plan is for all airlines to be moved into the new terminal by October 26th. What is interesting about the new terminal is that it has one contact gate (with three jetways) which is A380 compatible. This could be indicative of Emirates looking to use the A380 on services to MLE in the future.
