I've just completed a trip on CX MAN-LHR-HKG-MEL-HKG-MAN and overall it was excellent. I was very lucky to get a really low fare ex MAN. Even the I class Business light fare is refundable for £400.
Its easier to list the few minor negative points
Service on LHR-HKG was slightly disorganised. They didn't take my order, just brought me a random starter. I orded a wine off their "discovery" wine list but I think I was given something else (On the other 3 sectors they poured it from the bottle at my seat). Having said that they were very attentive to the call button during the flight. I was unlucky to get a relatively poor crew on that flight, just as you can sometimes get on BA
Checkin at MEL was slightly chaotic
They use the Qantas lounge in MEL which is not as good as their own lounges
Overall I would definitely recommend them and hope to fly with them again if I get the chance. I think they are suoerior to BA in just about every aspect
