What time does the AY flight leave from LAX? Are there flights to LHR or European destinations that leave around the same time or later? You do not have to accept a reroute that leaves earlier than intended.
The pilots' overtime ban is no more so last-minute cancellations do not occur. At the moment, only ground staff at HEL are on strike on certain days. Those days must be announced 14 days in advance. I would not do anything until you reach the 14-day deadline.
