I had never heard of "airport-friendly shoes" before so I asked him what he meant. He said that it simply referred to shoes that did not need to be removed when walking through the scanning equipment and in almost all cases it meant shoes without heels.
Has anyone else heard of "AAirport-Friendly Shoes" or is it just local to MIA?
I fly out of MIA every week and they make everyone take off the shoes regardless... or submit to secondAAry Screening. My airport friendly shoes are a pair of slip on dress shoes. No laces = less hassel.
