I'm EBS and added my EB number during a dummy booking and it didn't offer free standard seat selection before the payment stage. Are you saying that free seat selection only becomes available via MMB after the booking is confirmed?

Same applies to checked baggage allowance. There was no sign of a free checked bag after inputting my EB number. Perhaps the EB status only gets recognised (and benefits awarded) after the booking is confirmed?
