I am considering doing just that actually on one of my next trips to the States. So far, I have only flown in WT once many years ago on a daytime flight from JFK. In the last few years, it has been a mix of WTP, CW and F. I am asking myself whether it makes sense to save money and just fly WT, but the difference in price is not that significant on my route, so I still see value in WTP over WT. I would definitely fly WT with a guaranteed empty middle seat. For the trip that I mentioned before, the fare difference was significant because I had to stop at the East Coast first and the stopover fee alone was EUR600, but those 2 flights to HNL really opened my eyes that you can sit in economy and still arrive in one piece...
