Returning MIA JFK AA#2110 3:40pm-6:34pm (early departure and early arrival!) on Sunday, February 13, 2005, I heard one of the MIA TSAs at the x-ray machines at Terminal E refer to "airport-friendly shoes".

I had never heard of "airport-friendly shoes" before so I asked him what he meant. He said that it simply referred to shoes that did not need to be removed when walking through the scanning equipment and in almost all cases it meant shoes without heels.

Has anyone else heard of "AAirport-Friendly Shoes" or is it just local to MIA?
