Since my flight from MAN the other day arrived at gate Z18 I missed my chance to find out exactly where ABSV is or what the acronym stands for. But the departure gate of my connecting flight moved from Z58 to B25 which gave me a chance to find out exactly how transfer buses between B non-Schengen and Z worked.
I’ve seen a video of someone catching a Z > B bus and have read about the service in this thread but I thought the signs were not obvious unless you knew about the transfer buses and were looking for them.
In Z concourse these are the signs near gate Z11.
There are only flights of stairs to take passengers down as far as I know to a waiting bus opposite gate A6 (close to gates A7-A10 which are used as AEUW bus gates for clean non-Schengen arrivals.)

My transfer bus arrived at gate B57 where there are escalators (and an elevator although I didn’t see it) to take passengers up to B departures near Goethe Bar and gates B30-B33. Transfer buses to Z leave from the same B54-B57 area every 5-10 minutes between 6am and 2pm according to the sign. I assume transfer buses arrive at AEUW in A/Z but perhaps someone can confirm?

Although far from perfect it’s good to see that at last Frankfurt Airport and LH have recognised many passengers were re-clearing security unnecessarily and are doing something to address the situation.
