The link to submit a claim online did not work at the time so I sent in the forms to them by snail mail. Never heard anything back. Many months later, the links ended up finally working so I submitted a complaint online. In July of 2024, I received a reply from AESA with a complaint number and it mentioned that within 90-120 days, I would receive a response from them stating what my rights are. I still have not heard anything and it's been over 230 days since they replied. Is it time to turn this over to a EU261 claims broker or just continue to wait? Any recommendations for a good broker that knows how to deal with award redemptions rather than revenue tickets? It's a little bit more complicated to figure out the compensation you're owed on an award ticket. Thank you.
UPDATE: I just received a letter back from AESA where they are agreeing that Iberia is liable for the downgrade in cabin under EU261. Now, how do I get Iberia to pay? I've read that they never respond to these types of claims? The flight was nearly 3 years ago.
