As one would expect with LH IT, it appears that the testing of the dynamic pricing engine was done brilliantly

. Just that whatever kinks emerged within hours didn't swing entirely LH's way so that is why we see hectic action suddenly with taking down the award booking function as a desperate move (in my mind). Something I'm rather confident they would be in not such a hurry to correct if it was going the other way to their benefit.
Probably this thread and other forums / blogs documenting our observations and the good (outsized in some cases) opportunities here or there helped them come to grips that not everything seems to be working as planned

Let's see. I wouldn't be surprised if this takes them a bit to correct / tweak or so. The devil lies in the details and if the miles pricing mechanism relies on base fares for calculating the award, it can get tricky and wonky how those are (sometimes artificially) apportioned in multi-segment itineraries as anyone that has seen fare construction and fare filing before would know.
