Everyone knows pilot performance is directly related to the quantity and width of stripes I'm sure it will grow on me, but especially just seeing the sleeve and no epaulets my brain had a "who the heck are these people" reaction rather then the "ok, there's our crew" that the uniforms I'm used to instinctively triggers... Though part of that could also be departing from Zurich where it seemed like every airport employee had some kind of stripe as part of their uniform and my brain being in a degraded state (flying LGW-LIS-ZRH-IAD-CLE over the course of 40 hours... Really glad I got to spend some time in Lisbon but I really should not have booked that itinerary)
