Quick update on my recent travels around Italy and Sicily. My family and I stayed at Mangia’s for one night as it was closer to the Catania airport compared to Ortea Palace in Siracusa.

Pros: Friendly Staff, Upgrade to Suite as Titanium, Beautiful Pool, Excellent Facilities, and Reasonable Pricing.

Cons: Ants in the bed (We removed all of them and let the front desk know)… Service Recovery from that experience was a basic apology and nothing else… no offer to move rooms or anything and was told this is Sicily… ants are everywhere to which we can understand but NOT in our bed… Based on Google Reviews apparently this is a common occurrence at Mangia’s so … beware if you have a ground floor room.
