Residence Inn in Geneva, stay in August for family of five for four days - 1367 CHF on booking and 1504 on Bonvoy.
Mariott's explanation:

"I am unable to approve your claim because at the time of my review the rate found on competing site is same as the rate on Marriott.com.

Competing Site: Booking.com
Competing Site Rate: 709.20 CHF excluding taxes & fees.
Marriott.com Rate: 709.20 CHF excluding taxes & fees."

Never mind that I provided evidence of the rate booked on both sites, nothing.

Really, time to move elsewhere.

First of all, this should be moved to the BRG thread.

I don’t see what the issue is? It doesn’t matter if you provide screenshots as they need to verify it when they get to your claim and at that time, the rate wasn’t there. NONE of the other programmes will accept screenshots as proof and if anything, Marriott still has the best BRG programme. Try the other chains and I promise you’ll be back when you find out how they’ll deny your claims because the cancellation policy differs by a few hours!
