They were fulfilling orders for Simon. That is the extent of their involvement.
From talking to people in and out of the company: They track how cards are used and if you promptly zero out the card then they shut you down. The policy is explicitly anti MS. They know who we are and they officially do not want to sell to us.
However, there is someone in the company pitching the execs on an MS program. They are pitching a high volume program, eg 100k orders. Last I heard there did not seem to be enthusiasm for low volume but we'll see what, if anything, develops.
I don't think any of us liquidates $100k in a day, but I guess I could be wrong. For me, it is $20-25k per day several days per month, so a $100k order could be easily spread out over a month. I'm not sure if that would qualify for prompt liquidation in their eyes or not.
In the end, the fees will dictate whether we want it - a 3% CC fee on top of the other fees kills any value. If they don't have that, it would work. The other question, which you've posed, is whether or not they want us or not. I have zero insight or visibility there and it sounds like you do. If I'm speculating, there are likely at least 500 of us out here who would happily do $100k per month. That translates into $600 million in gross for them, which may or may not be worth it to them. I know that I do not know, but hope it happens!
