maybe share a bit more details. which airport will you be flying from? economy class? would you consider other destination since it is a spontaneous trip?
generally speaking, points + cash isnt a good way to redeem your points, so i would avoid doing this if possible. in any case, 9k isnt a lot of points, so you probably have to pay a substantial proportion in cash, so it kinds of defeats the purpose of redeeming the points
