This is not a delusionary observation. The patty IS smaller. I noticed it at SFO, also. I'm at the ORD PL next month - I'm going to ask for an extra patty (skip dessert) and see if they oblige....
That is a pretty good idea, though wont help a lot with the thin patty being hard to cook to temp. Let us know how it goes.
I am on other airlines for the rest of the summer for Intl business class, so won't have to deal with PL til later in the year.
