Spent a couple of hours here this morning. Saw big queues of students and school groups at the entrance but one of the team was calling out for GGLs and we were whisked by. Got a nice gold wristband which I thought would be to identify who's who but I don't think we were officially meant to jump any queues!
Enjoyed the 777 - think we were one of the first onboard and it was good to sit in the pilot's seat and see the crew rest area. Enjoyed inflating a lifejacket as well!
Best bit was seeing that my hands are warm and my daughter's hands are cold 😅
Concorde always a joy but a shame we couldn't go onboard any more.
I enjoyed the event and it was clear that as a recruitment event for engineering students it would be really useful. Sadly no LPGS though !!
Yes, I went with my wife and grandson and spent a couple of hours there (and a hundred quid on some model). Really enjoyable morning and some really interesting stands if you could get past the students…
Definitely glad I went. Seeing Concorde up close was amazing. I flew it quite a lot when it was in service but when you stand on the ground and look at the size of the engines; just amazing
