I've had many price match successes with Hilton, but only one with Marriott, so I have less understanding of it.
Does anybody know: on a prepaid, non-refundable rate, what happens when the competion just doesn't provide any cancellation policies? I've been looking at a prepaid, non-refundable room, but Marriott's policy does allow date changes. Expedia just doesn't say. It just says, "No refund--If you change or cancel your booking you will not get a refund or credit to use for a future stay." So I guess the fact that Marriott allows you to alter only the dates until 3 days prior means that the cancellation rules are different? I know that's how Hilton would handle it. Any excuse to deny . . . .
Also, how would they handle the 25% off for a prepaid reservation? Credit to card?
Since they're supposed to complete the price match in 24 hours, I'm considering booking it and then making a claim, since I have 24 hours to cancel it. Do they really respond that quickly?
