Hyatt Washington DC/Convention Center. Stay was booked on Hyatt’s app, Standard Rate, at about 10:42p ET day-of arrival.
Arrived at the hotel at 12:03a. Front desk told me that they didn’t have a room and tried to call me, but also wouldn’t provide a letter saying that I’m being walked. Said there was availability at a Hyatt Place or House or something like that, but I’d have to pay.
Ugh. Been on the phone with globalist line for 25 min hoping for a resolution.
As someone who’s experience this the Globalist Line will basically just let you know that it’s the hotel’s responsibility to rebook you at another hotel.
If I were you I’d just ask the Globalist line to create a case number for you, then book yourself into another property (doesn’t have to be a Hyatt). Then in probably 3ish days Hyatt will usually send you about 20-25k points as compensation.
