Sign-up bonuses are not static. The Chase Sapphire Preferred Visa card recently had a 100,000-point sign-up bonus (and Rakuten briefly offered $300 cash back for a successful application made via the Rakuten link). The current CSP bonus is 60,000 miles.

Chase Ultimate Rewards points can be converted on a 1:1 basis to several airline. They can also be converted on a 1:1 basis to World of Hyatt points, which some people think is the best use of Chase points. But the Chase card does not confer status in the World of Hyatt program, or a free checked bag with the airline programs you can transfer those points to. You would need to hold a co-branded card for those perks.
