How about just moving all the benefits to the top status like they used to back in the day and stop devaluing them so much? People are so Stockholm Syndromed with Hyatt it's insane. Being just a hair slightly better than 3 competitors who are all varying levels of terrible isn't a cause for praise.

As a near 20 year diamond/glob... hyatt is an absolute garbage heap now but because the other competitors are mostly flaming garbage heaps, they get away with it (although IHG has made their overall offering attractive enough in comparison to get more of my business now when I'm not totally FAing a stay).

The milestones are largely either near worthless or increasingly devalued to hell. Everything Hyatt (and the others) do is to increase shareholder value... the incomprehensible sycophantic Hyatt apologism baffles me. Sure, Hyatt is arguably still the best overall loyalty program at the top tier compared to the 3 major competitors... is it deserving of the constant flowery praise like it's some bastion of pro consumer dedication with strong loyalty treatment and commitment? Hardly.

All the stuff like milestones that people talk about with regards to arguing how great Hyatt is should rewind the clock back to when Hyatt actually took care of customers and actually generally acted like they valued your loyalty. All this stuff actually proves is how steady the decline has been with Hyatt and how they've been committed to staying one razor thin hair ahead of the competitors these days... guess that's something. Hardly deserving of plaudits in my book, but I guess if your bar is low enough...
