branded or bank credit cards for churning?

I have 2 questions:
1) I apply mostly to branded credit cards for credit card churning (for example Chase United Explorer, Chase Marriott Bonvoy Bold, etc.) instead of bank credit cards (example Chase Sapphire, Citi Premier).
What brings more miles for airlines or more points for hotels? branded or bank credit cards?
2) I hit a wall because I got 6 new credit cards in the last year. Now, I have to wait for 1 year if I want to apply for some credit cards. Can I avoid this by applying for a business card? I never had one, but I sell a bit on eBay and I rent a condo. If yes, would I give my social security number? After my first business credit card, would I have to follow the same rules as personal credit cards? For example, the Chase rule 5/24 but with business credit cards.
