The TV screen is a massive improvement on before, with good resolution.

I’m not sold on the privacy door - the lady across the aisle and I can still make eye contact over the top of it. It does offer good privacy for working though.

The seatbelt has been redesigned. In addition to the waist belt there is now a strap to pull down over your shoulder and clip in. This is visible in the seat photo above but is padded and unobtrusive when not in use.

A Flight Attendant has confirmed one annoying flaw (for them). The natural place for you to spread sideways with your left arm is where the seats control buttons are. That’s fine, but the call button is right there too so people are hitting it inadvertently. Apparently Air NZ is looking for a software fix to bring up a message on the TV screen when the button is engaged.
