I don’t think there is any chance that it would to be honest. Offering a premium ta service is not merely about making paid at the hotel or perks inclusive rates. It is about having staff with specific competences and training that no one at bah have (despite many of them being perfectly nice and often though not always capable of standard TAing). This would require a very significant investment that ba simply doesn’t have sufficient premium flight+hotel custom to recoup.
‘As noted above, bah are really only here to catch commission on ancillary bookings from those buying flights from them as well as being able to compete for the market of those who find one stop holiday shopping wirh the Expedia or Priceline of this world. There is no appetite for trying to become the new Amex or even Carlson, and I really doubt many of us who have excellent agents for those sorts of bookings would desert them and switch to ba for a handful of tps. I most certainly wouldn’t.
