In my experience, the displayed cost for upgrade offers are just for one leg. When you click on the offer, you will see that the offers are separate for each leg in the PNR. For an upcoming trip to NY, the app displays an offer of $1,016 to upgrade to 1st; however, when I click on the trip, that is just for the outbound, when I scroll to the return, the cost to upgrade that leg is $2,507. No, thank you.
