Do children get their own QR FF number when joining a parent's account?

Is there any issue with the child crediting to (the parent's) QR when the parent, on the same flight, is not crediting to QR?

I have read that avios earned from a child may not be moveable into (the parent's) BA account, is this correct? Are there any other threads / blog posts with more info about this?
