Given that these are decade + investments, it feels like this is AA doing the minimum and then wondering why their returns match their effort.
Should the preferred seats have larger screens? Definitely. Polaris studio will be a full 10" larger.
Will the regular J monitor sizes (assuming they're 17.5 inches as well) be fine? Yes. Polaris 2.0 will be at 19". A whopping 1.5" larger. A travesty. That's not going to make or break flagship suites competitiveness vs. Polaris 2.0.
If we're going to compare minute details, we should compare them all, not just nitpick the only minor flaw that exists from the images we've seen so far. If there is no United globe etched into the seat next to the charging pad that subtly glows in these new suites, are they suddenly making little effort and doing the minimum?
