I have an upcoming trip on AA/AS. There is a connection in SEA (PHL-SEA-FAI) and it is all one ticket, all AA-marketed flights. The PHL-SEA & SEA-PHL segments are on AA metal. The SEA-FAI and FAI-SEA segments are on AS metal. My layover in each direction is about 8 hours (not overnight). I know AS doesn't allow check-in of luggage <4 hours before a flight in SEA (I had an issue with this a few years ago). Knowing this, will there be any issue checking my luggage all the way through to FAI with that 8 hour layover?

Also, I know AA allows me up to 70 lbs. per bag with my EXP status. In general, I believe AS only allows 50 lbs. When I'm checking in for my return flight from FAI, will AS enforce the 50 lbs. rule? Or, since the ticket was purchased through AA, grant me the 70 lbs. allowance?

Thanks!
