I did a SDC coming back from GVA yesterday. Had seen on EF that 1F was free on the new flight. It was blocked but I assumed that meant the usual block for gold and the fact that there was likely another gold in 1D. There were several free seats elsewhere in the cabin. But when I went to check in, I couldn’t select it and ended up in 4C. Thought maybe it was broken or similar. Was able to get it changed at gate and agent said it was blocked and she’d overridden it and I didn’t ask further why it was blocked. All’s well that ends well but just kind of weird.
