BLR: Long Layover/ Transfer - Advice, Please
Hi All -
I'm transferring within BLR T2 (separate tickets, with baggage) from UL to VS next week. Of course, the ideal would be for UL to through-check my bag to LHR, but highly unlikely, so I'm expecting to have to go landside-back-to-airside. I have an Indian visa and over nine hours between flights, which should be more than sufficient to clear immigration, collect and re-check bags. If everything goes to schedule, rather too long...
Just wondering how best to approach this. I have Priority Pass access to the arrivals lounge, but that apparently limits stays to 2hrs, which will probably be up two or three hours before VS opens check-in, 3.5 hours pre-departure. I've heard that access even to the terminal is not permitted more than an hour before check-in opens, so what to do?
Any recommended hotels or restaurants near T2 to kill the time? Any early bag-drop facility? Is it possible to extend arrivals lounge access with another PP credit or cash? Any other lounges or other recommended places to wait? Any advice gratefully received. Many thanks.
