We had a 2 1 1/2 hour transits last Christmas . Both flights were delayed as well. We made 1 of the connections , but had to overnight in Abu Dhabi for the other . Etihad arranged all transport and accommodation . The connection that we did make we were taken via a short cut to the departure lounge, and yes our bags made it . We are now making sure to pack some more light weight essentials in our carry on , as staying Abu Dhabi in winter weight clothes wasn’t fun ! . Hopefully all will go well for you . Yes 45mins is the minimum connection time
