This should be enough. Other than assuming that your LX flight arrives on time or say within an hour, the other potential bottleneck will be that you will have to clear passport control on arrival.

I would ask in the LX forum to see if it is LX policy to interline across separate PNRs with a *A partner i.e. if they will be able to check your bags in LAX all the way through to HER. I believe US flights arrive "clean" into ZRH, so in this case you would only have to clear passport control, which would be plenty of time for 3h.
