I understand that QR will, generally speaking, check baggage through, even if on different airlines.

I'm contemplating booking LHR-DOH-SJH-DOH-Asia on two separate QR bookings - it's cheaper, plus Al Safwa, QPoints, Avios.

What do you reckon their response would be if I asked to check my bag through at LHR? Maybe they would even be up to working out not to send my bag to SJH and back?!

I'm asking in part to judge the connections. If I missed my 2 hour connection at DOH and was put on the next flight, that would give me 85 minutes at SJH. I'm wondering if that would give me much chance.
