That is my biggest issue with public transport… you need a special app for every city you go, often enough the zones/tariffs are just cryptic and in some places just impossible to understand… (Milano, looking at you!)

Btw, the train ticket machines at ZRH are also just a horror… „oh, you want to go to X? How would you like to go there via A, B or C? And of course all the options have a different ticket price…“ How should I know?

I would love a world where they just let me swipe my card/phone/smart watch at the departing station and then again at my destination. Anywhere on the civilized world!
