And not sure of the logic here . . . no Cap1, no Chase, so I'll drop the only credit card that offers branded lounge access at SFO? Note as well there are multiple Priority Pass options, though the best of them (the Club) tends to be crowded.
while yes, the club is crowded most of the times I’ve been there, and granted I’ve seen reports of it, I’ve never had to wait to get in. Food is yeah, different than Amex - I’d say it’s at minimum arguably better. Yes, Amex has more, but honestly, for many of us trying to eat on the healthier side, I’d say it’s got better options.

i also don’t know exactly where the T2 space is that Amex is using, but it would be more [generically] central. I get that’s not the case for those exclusively flying UA, and I suspect Amex was looking for the space in T3 to be convenient for the UA (dominant carrier) pax access, but given the amount of UA flights going out of D (and even E, which is pretty equidistant, I’d think, from the Amex T3 space vs. T2), I’m not even sure the relocation is a bad thing, at least for those flying primarily domestic/transborder. Given if I have the time, even as a primarily UA flyer, I’ll go into The Club, which is further from UA. Not necessarily a bad thing, IMO, to get a few steps in before I’m going to be in a metal tube for a few hours.
