I know people here are better informed than myself... but just want to share that having flown through Doha many times, I entered Qatar for the first time using stopover program (for 2 nights).

At the customs I got pinged and got told that the 91 euro bottle of red wine is not allowed to enter the country.
Alas my luggage is 1 wine bottle lighter! Foolish me for not checking the restriction... Never occurred to me of course when I have only flying through Doha before

Just FYI for anyone else in the future who happen to stopover in Qatar and are also thinking of bringing home alcohol.
