I'd like to see that too! Building apps is not within my skillset, and I wouldn't want to build something that causes a massive load querying their systems.
All I did was very simple. I just automated the steps that I would take, if I were to manually check for updated rates, and scheduled it to run a few times per day. Nothing very sophisticated. It opens an Excel sheet, and grabs the interested property and dates of stay, then goes to the website and runs a search for those parameters. Then it reads the rates for the room categories I'm interested in, and appends them to the Excel sheet. It looks to see if the latest rate in the Excel sheet is less than the rate previously reserved. If it is, it opens Outlook and sends me an e-mail, so I can then go and manually rebook the room.
Really nothing too advanced or scalable, but it works for me, and saves me a lot of work and time.
