Exclamation JetBlue + United "Blue Sky" Partnership

https://news.jetblue.com/latest-news...s/default.aspx

JetBlue and United just announced a, uhh, collaboration agreement. I wouldn't quite call it a partnership. Here are some highlights:
  • They will cross sell on each other's platforms, but they are only interlining and NOT codesharing.
  • Loyalty benefits will be offered on both airlines including perks for elites, including points earn AND burn.
  • United will receive six daily slot pairs in 2027 and gate space at the new JFK T6.
  • JetBlue and United will trade up to eight flight times at EWR for network optimization.
  • United will move all of its ancillary product sales (rental cars, hotels, cruises, and travel insurance) to a Paísly-based platform.
Some interesting quirks here. I'm kind of looking forward to seeing how this plays out. Right now it seems like UA pax are the big winners with a relatively solid alternative to EWR.
