Considering that the book is open much longer these days - I can book a basic fare for, say, December, only to have the funds be pre-expired if I end up canceling days (or even weeks) before the flight. Quite sneaky - and real ‘transfarency.’ Wonder how many people will get burned by that one. Still discovering all the new ways they’ve found to cash out decades of goodwill and give people motivation to look elsewhere for their next flight.
