I stopped staying there because of noise transmitting through the fabric of the building from (I think) the pool pumping station. It's not loud, but relentless and irritating to noise-fussy individuals like me.

It's an old property in KL terms and maybe not as well built in terms of sound insulation. In the Ampang Park area I much prefer the Intercontinental across the road from the DT, though even there I have to make sure i get a room midway down the corridor to avoid the hum from guest lifts at one end and the service elevators at the other. The crosses we have to bear!
