On that route the increase is not that dramatic. Within Europe, Y awards will even go down. But I am not taking any chances what the LH awards will be compared to the published partner award chart. So I am booking the family holiday to Singapore for 2026 using the old award chart, paying 142k + 71k + 142k = 355k for 3 C class tickets compared to 500k under the new award chart. This will bring my mileage balance to -80k.
Definitely better not to wait. I just bought 2 return C tickets to EZE. Still have nearly 200k miles to burn though. Hope that I will find something before the changes kick in!
