I'm hoping to use my avios points and 2-4-1 voucher to book Club World flights to from LHR to Japan. I've got the dates I'd like to book, now I'm just waiting for those days to open to book that far in advance.

When the dates are open I'd like to make sure I've got all I need so I don't mess it up and miss out on the tickets. A few questions about the process

- Do I call at midnight when the flights are released as I heard it's quicker than booking through the website?
- If so, do I call a specific rewards flight booking number or a BAC Gold members number?
- When I call, do I need to have all the details (name/passport number/etc) of the person traveling with me or can I book two tickets and pick later on who will join me on the trip?
- If I need to give the info of my guest as I book, is it possible to change that later?

- Once that first leg is done, I call back when the return leg is available and tell them to add it on to the previous booking to take advantage of the previously used 2-4-1 voucher?

Edit: slightly off topic but I've somewhat recently gotten to BA Gold. Is there any welcome package that they send that I've missed as it has been a few months or do they not even send a congratulatory email?
