Despite my comments about DUS to DUB to CDG, I am actually an American, so not based anywhere in Europe. The only travelers insurance I am familiar with is the ones that cost a few extra dollars that airlines offer when you book a flight (which I never select) and the credit card ones. I'm sure we have something similar to what you're describing given it's the US and financial services companies typically have more freedom to sell products, but I have never looked into getting it
