Calvin Klein underwear, a decent French Connection jacket, Calvin Klein jeans... they paid out without a quibble. No need to restrict yourself when it comes to Travel Insurance. The only reason I was confident with that was someone else had written that they don't actually care what you buy as long as it's within the limit.

Wouldn't have done the same if I had no insurance and was reliant on the airline, as I am sure it's very different there, but do check your Travel Insurance allowance. That alone covered several years of the insurance payments for me and is still the only claim I've ever made.
Are you referring to the travel insurance that's offered when you purchase a ticket, or the travel insurance that some credit cards offer? Good to know they don't care what you buy, fortunately the next destination I landed in was...Paris, the global capital of shopping, definitely happy to use some OPM on the Champs Elysee haha
