Surely you have to code the colour , why not code it to match your status?
The header of the app used to match the status colour, but that has been "fixed" a few years back. the app was developed, before Android had the wallet feature, so Android handles boarding passes differently, they were always white in the app.
For those using Android - taking a screenshot, then checking your screenshot in the photos app, the app will detect QR code and ask you if you wanted to add it to your wallet.
