As a 1k, I'm at like at 65% Discount Y -> J intra-europe on LH family. Whenever I somehow buy non discount Y (to check a bag) I never get upgraded, but always get choice Exit Row seat. Only paid for J (and F once on LX) on LX/LH for long haul, never gotten that sweet sweet long haul op up (though did once from PP-> J on UA last year)
