Historically the issue with lounge access with TN and AA was with codeshares. TN would insist that if you were flying on an AA codeshare that AA was responsible for providing you with a lounge. They also had verbiage on their website saying the same. This didn't apply to awards since those are booked on the TN flight number not the AA one.
This verbiage is gone and now the TN website says that all Business class customers have lounge access.
that all sounds promising - we definitely have realized over the years AA status has no bearing on TN - but this is good to hear. We’re less concerned about LAX as we have restaurants we like to go to and don’t mind TBIT (our home airport) but PPT w a red eye is hot and with a young child the lounge makes everything more tolerable that late at night.
