My 2023 LGW-DXB-MAA J class flight with a miles upgrade to F for the DXB-MAA leg, my bags were tagged F in London, and my boarding pass showed F lounge access in Dubai and I accessed.
I think the responses were focused on Chauffeur drive and miles earning. A J to F miles upgrade would get you F Lounge access and F baggage tags as those don’t really cost EK anything.
