Back here for 1 night last week. I still like this property but some negatives regarding the lounge compared to our last stay in August 2023.

First the positives, upgraded to a very nice Junior Suite with views of the park and St Stephen's Cathedral. The room was a good size with a large bathroom and a separate lounge area.

The lounge happy hours have changed from 6-8 when we were last here to 5-7 which seems to be a growing trend and not a welcome one as far as I'm concerned although it probably works better for some. The food was disappointing compared to last time with soup and mini quiches the hot options. Drinks seemed a little limited too with just one beer and no non alcoholic beer which the OH is now drinking and is becoming widely offered in lounges. It was very quiet though, we just had one drink and left.

Took breakfast in the restaurant which was fine, good selection although the egg station was disorganised, waited a long time for poached eggs despite it not being busy.

Overall I would return, I like the rooms and the location, just the lounge felt a bit of a let down this time.
